Periodontics is challenging but enormously satisfying”, says Rob Ratcliffe, who has been an associate of the practice since 2005. “I like helping patients to understand the reasons for their gum problems”, says Rob. “It gives them a sense of control to know they can do something about it. Treatment starts from the basics of awareness and good homecare.”
Rob, is an enthusiastic academic. He often attends conferences, society meetings and seminars, where periodontists can meet and share the latest findings and techniques. Rob is a dentist with a special interest in Periodontics.
A few years ago, Rob set up the UK’s first mobile tooth whitening service, but today his focus is fully on periodontics.
Outside dentistry it is music, modern and classical, and playing cricket that makes Rob tick. He also likes to travel and even funded his dental studies by going to South America to work in the shipping industry.

Sheryl is our dedicated practice manager who has been with us since 2005. Combining efficiency with kindness, she is not only responsible for the day-to- day running and management of the practice, she is involved in the implementation and maintenance of all current legislation, systems and protocols. Sheryl’s reassuring and accommodating management style ensures that we offer a streamlined service, which, we believe, is second to none.
Ms Lauren LeFevre
Born and raised in Launceston, Tasmania. Launceston is a small city, on a little island off the south coast of Australia. NOT to be confused with New Zealand!! As a Tasmanian, I enjoyed the small city life and family vacations on regular basis.
At the start of my twenties I moved to Queensland in search of bigger and better things. Hotter weather and being young meant that I stopped on the gold coast for 18 months before going a further hour north to Brisbane. This is where I was introduced into the dental industry and completed my full qualification as a dental nurse.
I moved to the UK in March 2011, for the purpose of travelling Europe and London has become my home base. I joined the Whitehouse Dental Clinic in June 2011 as a receptionist. After 7 months I am slowly but surely remembering names and faces of our long term clients and enjoy warmly welcoming new comers to our fantastic practice.
Ms Melissa Francis RDN (GDC no 127354)
Born and raised in London I am a true city girl. I qualified and registered as a Dental Care Professional just over six years ago and started my Career working in the Harley Street District. After 6 years of commuting on our ever popular Tube, I decided to take some time out to start a family.
After a year with my Beautiful baby girl, and a yearning of being closer to home, I joined the Whitehouse Dental Clinic in September 2011, replacing the very popular Hayley. Here I work alongside the lovely Lauren as second half to our front of house team, looking after all our new and existing patients and making sure everything runs smoothly.
My working life a side, I have a busy 2012 ahead with my wedding in September being the focus of my year. After 6 years with my partner Steve he has decided to at last make an honest woman of me! We will wed in our home town of Wandsworth, South London and I am also looking forward to our exciting Honeymoon in Tunisia.
In my spare time I enjoy spending oodles of time with my family, socialising with friends and being a yummy mummy!
